Announcing the 1st Annual 508 Park Fiddle Contest on November 7, 2015, starting at 10 AM, at the 508 Park Amphitheater, adjoining the historic Brunswick Warehouse Recording Studio in downtown Dallas.  Over $4,200 in prize money!  The competition will feature six age divisions with special emphasis on our younger fiddlers: 0-8, 9-12, 13-17, 18-39, 40-64, and 65 and over, as well as an accompanist category. To give recognition of the history of the first recording of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys done there at Brunswick Warehouse Recording Studio, there will be a special category “Legends of Western Swing” open to a fiddler or small group of fiddlers to complete on a tune that was played in the Bob Wills and Texas Playboys repertoire.
