Farmers Branch Historical Park
2540 Farmers Branch Lane, Farmers Branch Texas 75234
The Bloomin’ Bluegrass Festival 2013 was held on Friday and Saturday, October 18-19, 2013 in the beautiful Farmers Branch Historical Park in Farmers Branch, Texas. The festival was presented by the City of Farmers Branch, Texas and the Bluegrass Heritage Foundation, and was free and open to the public. Incredible musical performances were provided by Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Suzy Bogguss, The Travelin’ McCourys, The Boxcars, The Rambling Rooks, Sierra Hull, The Spinney Brothers, Gold Heart, and The Herrins. A great crowd was on hand both days to enjoy incredible music, chili, rose gardens, the historical structures in the Farmers Branch Historical Park, vendors, and friendly jamming. Saturday’s festivities included a CASI-sanctioned chili cook-off competition as well as the presentation of the Bluegrass Heritage Foundation’s Star Award to Sierra Hull. Our thanks to Mr. Bob Compere for the photographs.
