Italian bluegrass band Red Wine has a style that embraces traditional and contemporary bluegrass, country, gospel, and swing, and they put on a great show for us at the University Park United Methodist Church in University Park, Texas on Thursday night, April 10, 2014. The band has played all over Europe and has appeared at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Fran, Wintergrass, Uncle Pen’s Memorial Festival in Bean Blossom, Oklahoma International Bluegrass Festival in Guthrie, Walnut Valley in Winfield, and the Bluegrass & Chili Festival in Claremore.  They made a lot of new fans in Texas on Thursday night, and went on to do the same at Old Settler’s Music Festival in Austin the next day!

On Saturday night, May 3, 2008, the Bluegrass Heritage Foundation held its inaugural bluegrass music event featuring The Special Consensus and Blue Moon Drive at the historic Sons of Hermann Hall near downtown Dallas.  Current IBMA President Greg Cahill (founder of The Special Consensus) and his band put on a great show for the crowd.  “The pleasure was truly ours,” said Cahill.  “We were honored to be featured for your first event.  We certainly enjoyed the evening with a wonderfully responsive audience and great music of Blue Moon Drive.  I hope we can work to support the Bluegrass Heritage Foundation another time!”

The Bluegrass Heritage Foundation is a non-profit organization, run by volunteers,
promoting bluegrass music in Texas. While it's free to get in the door to many of our events,
keeping the doors open isn't free. All contributions are greatly appreciated.
