Need a hotel room?  We found a brand-new La Quinta Inn in Mansfield, about 5 miles south of the church on Highway 287.  You can get more information on this hotel by clicking here or by calling (817) 453-5040.  There is also a Days Inn about 5 miles to the northeast of South Oaks Baptist Church, near Parks Mall in Arlington, at 1901 West Pleasant Ridge.  You can get more information about the Days Inn by clicking here or by calling (800) 329-7466.  You can locate a number of other hotels in the general area if you wish to search through Hotels.com or Expedia.com, but these are the closest that we found to South Oaks Baptist Church.

Recreational Vehicles/Motor Homes.  If you plan to attend the festival and would like to stay overnight in your motor home, you are welcome to do so. There is space for a few motor homes along the back edge of the parking lot at South Oaks Baptist Church.  This is a most polite accommodation by South Oaks Baptist Church, so if you plan to stay in your motor home, we ask that you please be very considerate of the church property (and the neighboring homes) and leave the grounds in a clean and orderly condition when you leave. There are NO hookups of any kind – just a parking area. If you would like to stay at an RV facility with full amenities, you might want to check out the nearby Texas RV Ranch at 1961 Lone Star Road, Mansfield, Texas 76063 (toll free 866-348-3978.)

Can I come and go at the Festival? Of course. When you arrive at South Oaks, check in with your admission ticket and get your wristband. The wristband will be your pass to get into the South Oaks Worship Center where the Festival will be going on all day. Parking is free, so you can come and go as you like.

What about food and drinks? The good folks of South Oaks Baptist Church will be offering food and drinks for sale all day during the Festival. Food service will be in the church’s Activities Building, which adjoins the Worship Center where the Festival will be going on. A covered walkway connects the two buildings. No food or drinks will be allowed in the Worship Center, but you can eat in the Activities Building or have lunch outside under the old oak trees!

Is there something other than the Festival for my family to enjoy? Absolutely! If you have family members who want to do something other than bluegrass all day, let them enjoy one of the other area attractions. There's plenty within 30 miles of the Festival. Grapevine Mills Mall and Parks Mall are close by for shopping. Attractions like Six Flags Over Texas, Hurricane Harbor Water park, the Amon Carter Museum, the Modern Museum of Fort Worth, the Kimbell Art Museum, the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, the Stockyards Museum, and the Vintage Flying Museum are within easy driving distance. For baseball fans, the Texas Rangers will be playing the Boston Red Sox at Rangers Ballpark that night at 7:05p (the Ballpark is about 16 miles northeast of South Oaks).

Prohibited items. Please don’t bring any alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or pets onto the South Oaks property. No smoking is allowed in any of the South Oaks buildings. South Oaks has most graciously allowed us to use their facilities. In return, we encourage all Festival patrons to treat the South Oaks staff and facilities with the highest level of courtesy and respect.
